According to arrangements provided for in the resolution of National Board of Patent Attorneys No 614/V/2011 of 17 June 2011 concerning improvement of professional knowledge, patent attorneys are obliged to permanently broaden their knowledge.
Self-ruled body of patent attorneys, which has based its functioning on the constitutional principle of public authority decentralisation, cares for its proper accomplishment within the public interest borders and for it protection as well as guarantees high ethical and moral standards of persons carrying out this public trust profession. Freedom of performance of the patent attorney profession is limited by a number of requirements aimed at assurance of proper service rendering by persons, who show not only high ethical standards but also high professional qualifications. In conditions of permanently developing legal system and dynamic development of technology as well as human knowledge status, only permanent improvement of professional skills guarantees proper practicing of this multidisciplinary profession.
